About Us

Aeron Accountants is an accountancy practice based in Aberaeron, West Wales. The practice was established in 2016 by Dyfrig Davies.

We are a cloud-based practice, making full use of advances in digital accounting technology to help clients reduce the burden of day-to-day business administration, while also providing clear, meaningful and up-to-date financial information.

As a small team, we are able to offer a flexible and responsive service, adapting quickly to our clients’ needs as well as to developments such as Making Tax Digital and wider technological change.

Aeron Accountants is a registered Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) practice.

We are also proud to offer a valuable bilingual service, supporting our clients with all their accountancy requirements in both Welsh and English.

Dyfrig Davies & Eleri Davies

Born and raised on a mixed farm in Talgarreg, Ceredigion, Dyfrig studied A-levels before completing a degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Glamorgan. He then returned to the area and began working for a local accountancy practice in 2006.

Having worked in the profession since 2005, Dyfrig has built up a broad range of experience across accountancy, audit and business management, acting for a wide variety of clients from many different sectors.

This breadth of experience gives him a strong understanding of the requirements and challenges faced by businesses, particularly those based in rural West Wales.

Dyfrig is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and became a Fellow of the ACCA in 2016.

Outside work, he enjoys all kinds of sport, both as a spectator and participant, and has previously played rugby and football for local teams.

Eleri joined the team in 2021. Before that, she worked for another accountancy practice in West Wales after graduating from university, where she studied Mathematics and Music.

She has been working in the profession since 2013 and qualified as a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 2019. Eleri has extensive experience in preparing accounts and dealing with tax matters for companies, partnerships and sole traders. She has also undertaken audit work and has experience in other areas of tax, including VAT and PAYE.

Eleri has worked with a range of bookkeeping software, including QuickBooks, FreeAgent and Capium, and is also a certified Xero Advisor.

A fluent Welsh speaker, Eleri was raised on a farm near Lampeter. Before becoming a mother, she played the cello in several orchestras across West Wales and served as treasurer of the Lampeter Chamber Orchestra, which she has now rejoined.

Together, Dyfrig and Eleri have two young boys, who now keep them very busy outside of work.

Ceinwen James

Ceinwen, who is also a Welsh speaker, joined Aeron Accountants in April 2023 and has become a valued member of the team. She supports clients with bookkeeping, VAT and payroll, bringing strong organisational skills, a practical approach and excellent client care. Before joining the practice, she worked in retail management, where she gained experience in VAT, budgeting and pricing, which first sparked her interest in accountancy. Ceinwen is currently studying towards her AAT Level 4 qualification, although this is currently on hold while she is on maternity leave with her first child. Outside work, Ceinwen enjoys photography and is an enthusiastic runner, taking part in events from 5Ks to marathons. She also hopes to complete an Ironman one day.

Heulwen Williams

Heulwen joined us in July 2024 and has become a valued member of our team. Before joining the practice, she spent a number of years working at a dental practice before moving on to an administrative assistant role within the construction industry. This varied experience has given her a strong background in organisation, client support and day-to-day administration.
At the practice, Heulwen supports clients with payroll, CIS and VAT, helping to keep essential processes running smoothly and efficiently.
Outside of work, Heulwen is a busy mum to two young children. When she has the time, she enjoys being outdoors and going for walks.

Rose Phillips

Rose joined us in July 2025 and brings more than 25 years of experience in accountancy. Over the course of her career, she has developed particular expertise in payroll, VAT and accounts, helping clients with reliable, practical support tailored to their day-to-day needs. She is a qualified member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and is committed to providing an accurate, straightforward and professional service. As a Pembrokeshire native and a first-language Welsh speaker, Rose is proud of her local roots and values the strong relationships we build within our community.

Josie Butler

Our newest member of the team is Josie. Before joining Aeron Accountants, she spent 10 years working in a variety of hospitality and customer service roles. After taking a career break to have her two children, she decided to pursue a new direction and began studying for a degree in Accounting and Finance through the Open University, which she continues alongside her role with us. Outside of work, Josie enjoys exploring the local area with her family, cooking, baking and learning languages.
